Terms and Conditions

(Including Booking)

The outline of our terms and conditions (including booking) are to ensure that you can be confident prior to using our service. We recommend you read this page carefully. By booking you understand and accept these terms laid out. These conditions are in addition to those operated by Airbnb if bookings are made through these sites. Contract:

All bookings for the Property are subject to the Terms and Conditions which form a binding contract between the Guest and the Owner. The individual who’s details are on the initial booking contact form, including all other guests named are responsible for understanding and are in acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Including that of any un-authorized guests should this later be found out.

 

Period:

The Holiday Rental shall commence at 16:00 pm on the agreed start/arrival date and terminates at 10:00 am on the agreed departure date. These are subject to UK time zones.

 

Consent:

The guest who requests the initial booking confirms that he/she are above the age of 18 and are authorized to be at the property. The person who is named on the booking and that of all other guests (including those under 18) are 100% responsible for themselves during their stay at the property.

 

Insurance:

All guests are responsible for organizing and insuring themselves for the duration of the contract and stay at the property (recommended). We do not cover any type of insurance for guests. All guests are 100% responsible for themselves.

Payment and Booking:

This section simply outlines all of our payments terms in accordance with all other Terms and Conditions set out on this page.

 

Methods Of Booking:

Bookings can be requested using the contact form on our website, by phone or through private email. (In accordance with GDPR)

 

Acceptance Of Booking:

We will respond to your booking – hopefully with the confirmation of acceptance and instructions as to next steps regarding payment and or anything else you need to be made aware of at the time. If your desired stay dates are already taken, we will let you know and can advise on the next best availability for staying at the property.

 

By accepting the price quoted, you are legally entering into an agreement of contract within our full list of Terms and Conditions set out on this page.

 

Deposit and Outstanding Balance

Upon acceptance of your quoted stay, we will send over our BACs details for secure payments to be made to us via Bank Transfer. We will firstly require a 30% up front deposit (as standard). 4 weeks prior to the booking we will then require a second payment to clear the outstanding balance. At this point only is the property then classified as a fully secured booking to stay. Please note we have the right to hold or withdraw your deposit or any other monies if damages are incurred by any guests. As well as being able to invoice any guests for payments – to be paid if damages exceed the amount of the total booking costs.

 

Failure To Pay

If you do not pay the balance of the booking on the due date or when requested, we are entitled by notice to you to treat your booking as cancelled and terminate any contract with you. You will be responsible for all cancellation charges that may apply.

By agreeing the Terms and Conditions you are committed to the price agreed for the Holiday Rental at Malt House Cottage.

 

Holiday Rental Price Inclusions

Property prices quoted include bed linen, towels as well as water/gas/electricity for the property. It is the discretion of the Owner of the Property as to other inclusions offered. If the Guest has any questions as to other possible inclusions these must be checked by the Guest before booking. Please note this is a self-catering holiday rental, all guests must provide their own food and or any catering/dietary requirements.

 

Wifi

Whilst Wifi is provided and can be accessed for guests use, we cannot guarantee the uptime or signal strength. The owner cannot be held responsible for these two parts mentioned. In the unforeseen event there are any issues, you can ask the owner to reach out to the internet company to see if there is a quick solution. The owner is not also responsible for any guests web activity, safety and security when using the Wifi provided. It is recommended to browse carefully at all times.

 

Keys

You will be provided or informed where the keys for the property are to collect from. You acknowledge and take 100% responsibility for the safety of these keys and the successful return of them at the end of the stay. Charges may apply if the keys are lost, stolen, damaged and that including any locks.

 

Cancellation Of Bookings/Contract

Prior to booking we understand there are some instances when a guest – named on the initial booking may want to cancel their booking/contract with us. We are very kind and try our best to oblige, especially to serious reasons. If you wish to cancel your booking please communicate this by putting it in writing to Helen Child. On receipt of your request, and within your statutory rights we can then cancel your booking.

 

Please note that we can also terminate the contract prior booking or during a guests stay if any illegal suspicion is raised. This may affect funds held or not released in accordance with UK Law.

 

Access during the Holiday Rental

There may be occasions during your Rental where the Owner’s representatives require access to the Property to carry out contractual obligations or timely maintenance. We reserve the right to access the Property during the Holiday Rental at reasonable times and where we have provided you with reasonable notice, except in an emergency when no notice is needed. We ultimately respect all guests privacy during their stay and wish them to have a good time.

 

Safety and Liability

Guest Safety and Liability

The Guest agrees with the Owner that he/she shall (and that of each member of the Guest Party including anyone below the age of 18) shall:

Take 100% responsibly for their own safety and actions during the stay at the property. This includes any accidents and damages to which a guest makes. The guest who is on the booking form will have to cover any damage costs, made payable to the owner, if suspected by the owner of the property. We highly recommend any equipment and utensils provided in the home are used correctly. Please contact the owner if you are unsure.

 

The owner of the property does NOT take any responsibly for that of any guests property including vehicles.

 

Guests also agree they will not smoke or vape within the property or on the property grounds. This is to reduce the risk of a fire.

 

Our Liability

The owner of the property is only liable for it’s own duty of care towards the safety and general maintenance of the property. Meaning general wear or damages NOT caused by guests but that of time.

 

Pets

Pets are only permitted in or on the property subject to the property owners prior consent. The guest member booking should mention this prior to staying. Pets are not allowed on any furniture, chairs or beds and are never to be left unattended at the property. The guest whos pet it belongs to is liable for it’s safety at all times.

 

You are responsible for clearing up after your pet. If the property requires any extra cleaning inside or outside the property as a result of your pet, you will be responsible for paying our reasonable cleaning charges which we can charge for if necessary.

 

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights. The Terms and Conditions set in place are for that of security and we do our best to comply with UK Laws.
